Hey Lee: Hope your visit to the rest of the country is more welcoming than the "whip boys". Strange dudes!! I guess you find them everywhere. Sounds like you girls are having a great time anyhow, you have to take the wierd with the good. ~~Keep having fun and stay safe! Luv, Auntie Linda~~ps beat you again "mom"
Hi Sheri-Lee I guess I should have warned you about those whip sticks. I forgot you would be in the Czech around Easter because this is a tradition in the Czech that all the men get these long whip sticks and whip all the ladies they like. You are supposed to give them a treat in return. It's a Czech thing but I thought it was pretty strange the first time I heard about it. Love you Auntie Joan
Thanks for the info "Auntie Joan". I was just about to take the next flight out, track down those guys, and give THEM a whip or two for showing what I would call blatent disrespect towards our travelling ladies!
I hope rest of the the time in Praha far exceeds your initial impressions. Keep us posted. ~Neil
Well this is the third time i have tried to leave you a comment. Our internet seems to have issues. Maybe its all the SNOW YOU ARE MISSING!!!! Haha anywho, what a strange tradition! I am thinking that I should probably not try to start it here because instead of recieving treats, I might recieve some court dates instead! Take it easy.
I also am glad to hear what your auntie Joan had to say because ya I would have been joining Neil on a little trip over to teach those boys a lesson otherwise. Well keep having fun. Easter in Europe is cool so I know you will have a blast! Stay safe!
Hey Lee; Well I will add my thanks to Auntie Joan for letting us know about the whip boys! What a weird tradition that is! Oh well...no harm done I suppose. They were probably disappointed that they didn't recieve a treat!! Have a happy Easter in Germany or Austria - wherever you decide to be on the w/e. Love, Mom <><
